About Catalog Production

The University of Kansas catalog is the official record of the curricular requirements and course descriptions that apply to students who formally enter an academic program in that academic year. 

The 2025-2026 Academic Catalog has been published. The editing window for the 2026-2027 Academic Catalog will begin in early fall. Visit the CourseLeaf CIM/CAT system to submit all course and catalog changes.

September 3, 2025Release Catalog Pages for Updates. Page Owners begin the process of submitting catalog pages into workflow. Review shared content pages for edits. 
September 2025-February 2026Academic Units must submit their materials to their respective School/College by the deadline set by that School/College. Please consult with your School/College for your specific deadlines.
February 2, 2026Deadline to have course, program and other catalog pages to the Registrar. All new and updated curriculum needs to be to the Registrar step of workflow and all new and updated programs need to be to the Catalog Editor by this date. All edits must be through workflow. 
March 2, 20262026-2027 Final Course Import.
March 16, 20262026-2027 Catalog sent to CourseLeaf for publication.
April 1, 20262026-2027 Academic Catalog published.
Early AprilFirst Transfer Orientation Enrollment for Fall Semester 2026.
May 8, 20262026-2027 Academic Course Catalog PDF created. 

Note: New programs approved after catalog deadlines can still be added to Enroll & Pay with a future active term of Fall 2027. This will be the first term: 

  • Undergraduate students may follow the requirements
  • Graduate students may be admitted 

You may also work with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) and IT to create a degree plan website, active until April 1, 2027.
