About Jayhawk Flex
The Office of the University Registrar supports Jayhawk Flex students by managing enrollment transactions, maintaining academic records, and administering processes related to adds, drops, and withdrawals. The programs that follow the competency-based education model at the university are listed below. Details regarding degree requirements for each degree program are available in the academic catalog.

How to Enroll
Students who are participating in a Jayhawk Flex program complete their enrollment through a coordinated process with their graduate advisor based on their individualized degree plan. Before submitting an enrollment request, students should understand the following requirements:
- Enroll in a minimum of 6 competencies per term, with the exception of the summer semester which only requires a minimum of 3
- Adding or dropping competency requests must be submitted by day 14 of the term
Important deadlines for a specific term are available on the Jayhawk Flex Calendar. To add or drop competencies for a term, students must submit the Jayhawk Flex Enrollment Request Form.
How to Drop or Withdraw
Within the 14-Day Deadline
If you need to withdraw for a full term within the first 14 days of the term, please submit the Jayhawk Flex Enrollment Request Form. Your graduate advisor will review and process your request.
After the 14-Day Deadline
If you need to withdraw after the 14th day of the semester, you must submit a request to withdraw due to extenuating circumstances. These requests are reviewed and processed by the Office of the University Registrar. Approval is not guaranteed and is based on submitted documentation and university policy.
