Spring 2027 Final Exam Week: May 10-14th

To find your standard university final examination time, locate your course’s scheduled start time and the day(s) of the week it meets in the tables below. KU also designates common final exam times, a night final exam schedule for classes beginning at 5:00 p.m. or later, and School of Education-specific exceptions all of which are listed below.

Standard University Final Examination Schedule

When reviewing the standard university final exam schedule, any class with a meeting pattern* that includes at least one Monday, Wednesday, or Friday must use the Monday/Wednesday/Friday final examination schedule. This applies regardless of how many days the class meets and includes patterns such as MTWRF, MW, WF, TW, or any other combination that includes M, W, or F.

Only classes that meet exclusively on Tuesday and/or Thursday (with no Monday, Wednesday, or Friday meetings*) follow the Tuesday/Thursday final examination schedule.

*Special Exams and Discussion Sections are not considered part of the meeting pattern when scheduling finals.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Final Examination Schedule

Tuesday/Thursday Final Examination Schedule

Night Class Final Examination Schedule

Classes that start at 5:00pm or later follow the night class examination schedule. These classes have their final on the same day of the week that they meet.

Common Final Examination Schedule

Common final examinations are approved by the University Calendar Committee and apply to all sections of a course. Common finals are offered only in the evening. If a common final examination conflicts with a scheduled night class final, the common final takes precedence. In these cases, students should work with the instructor of the night class to arrange an alternative examination time.

⁽¹⁾ MATH 101, 105, and 107 will be available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. These alternate times and information on how to register will be announced by the Kansas Algebra Program.

School of Education Night Class Final Examination

Education classes beginning at 4:30 p.m. will be examined from 4:30-7:00 p.m. on the same day of the week during the five-day examination period.

NOTE: Final exam scheduled for online courses will be noted in the course syllabus. Classes that meet daily will follow the Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. Classes that meet once a week will follow the schedule that includes the day of the week that a particular class meets. For example, a Monday or a Wednesday class would follow the Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule.

Final exam schedule for short courses will be noted in the course syllabus. Short courses will final on the last day of their regular scheduled class.
