Staff Rates - KUMC, KULC, and Affiliated Corporation Employees
Who is eligible and what is the benefit?
- KUMC and KULC Employees with 100% appointment percentage.
- Benefit: Out-of-state tuition is adjusted to rates equivalent to in-state and Required Student and Required Student Wellness Fees (Campus Fees) are waived.
- Affiliated Corporation Employees with 100% appointment percentage.
- Affiliated Corporations:
- KU Alumni Association
- KU Athletics
- KU Center for technology Commercialization
- KU Endowment Association
- KU Medical Center Research Institute
- KU Memorial Unions
- KU Physician's Institute
- University of Kansas Hospital Authority
- Benefit: Required Student and Required Student Wellness Fees (Campus Fees) are waived.
- Affiliated Corporations:

- Dependents of affiliated corporation employees are not eligible for the Staff Rates waiver.
How to Apply
KULC Staff – eligible KU Lawrence & Edwards Campus employees will have this waiver added automatically.
KUMC and Affiliated Employees - Submit the Staff Rates Form by the 30th calendar day after the first day of classes for the semester you are requesting. Specific dates can be found on the Academic Calendar.
You will receive an email notification when the Staff Rates request form has been processed.
The form is not required if:
- You are a part-time or full-time KU Lawrence or Edwards campus employee with an appointment of 40-100%
- You have a GTA/GRA/GA appointment
Dependents of Staff
Who is eligible and what is the benefit?
- Dependent children or spouses of a KU or Kansas Board of Regents University Staff Member with a 100% appointment percentage.
- Benefit: Out-of-state tuition is adjusted to rates equivalent to in-state tuition.

- Dependents of affiliated corporation employees are not eligible for the Staff Rates waiver. Meaning the Required Student and Required Wellness fees are assessed.
